 Mandate of the Laboratory:

 Our Research Center at INTI voluntarily participates in technical  
 assistance and training laboratories in the residue pesticide  
 analysis, methods validation and quality assurance of results.
 The laboratory also contributes to the analysis of pesticide residues  
 in samples provide by private companies and, on the other hand,
 food led by ISCAMEN (Institute of Quality and Sanity Mendoza), a
 government institution responsible for monitoring and controlling  
 of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables marketed in the
 province.

 Role in the farm-to-fork chain:

 Analysis of pesticide residues in fruits, vegetables and their
 industrial products and verification of compliance with national
 regulation.

 National Reference Laboratory:

 No

 Type of contaminants analysed:

 Organochlorine, organophosphates, pyretroids, carbamates,
 benzimidazoles and dithiocarbamates pesticides in food and
 environmental samples. Also Glyphosate and AMPA, and  
 Mycotoxins (Ochratoxin A).

 Matrices analysed:

 
 Fresh and dried fruits and vegetables
 Canned fruits and vegetables
 Drinking water and irrigation water
 Cereals, Seeds and flours
 Oils
 Wine
 Juices and musts
 Soils
 Honey
 Jams

 Combination matrices and

 In all matrices mentioned we analyze the following compounds:
 Organochlorates, organophosphorates, pyretroids, carbamates,
 benzimidazoles and dithiocarbamates.
 Also Glyphosate and AMPA, and Ochratoxin A.

 and UNE – EN 123961 for Dithiocarbamates Methods
 for residues in fruits and vegetables.
 Internal procedure based in P-RE-029-98 (1) Method of
 Pesticides Management Regulatory Agency of Canada for  
 benzimidazoles residues in fruits and vegetables.
 Internal procedure based in EPA 547 Method for glyphosate and  
 AMPA residues in waters.
 Internal procedure based in Journal of AOAC 2001.01 Method for
 Ochratoxin A residues in wines and mosts.

 Laboratory accredited according to
 ISO17025:

 No, we were accredited according to ISO17025 since
 2004 to 2009. The laboratory was delayed in the replacement of  
 equipment out of service, and therefore, the Argentine  
 Accreditation Agency (OAA) decided to cancel the techniques
 accredited. Currently we are in the process of re-accreditation.
