 Mandate of the Laboratory:

La Agencia de Regulación y Control Fito y Zoosanitario – AGROCALIDAD una institución pública adscrita al Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, es la encargada del control y regulación para la protección y el mejoramiento de la sanidad animal, sanidad vegetal e inocuidad alimentaria.

 Role in the farm-to-fork chain:

Brindar servicios de análisis de calidad físico, químico y calidad higiénica de la leche cruda en la etapa primaria de producción para asegurar la inocuidad.

 National Reference Laboratory:

Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería, emitió el Acuerdo Ministerial 394 para REGULAR Y CONTROLAR EL PRECIO DE LECHE CRUDA PAGADO EN LA FINCA AL PRODUCTOR Y PROMOVER LA CALIDAD E INOCUIDAD DE LA LECHE CRUDA, el cual determina que “Agencia de Regulación y Control Fito y Zoosanitario – AGROCALIDAD a través de su Laboratorio de Control de Calidad de Leche

 será la encargada de registrar y verificar el correcto funcionamiento de los laboratorios para el control de calidad de la leche cruda, sean estos privados o públicos, basándose en las normas nacionales e internacionales utilizadas para los análisis que permiten determinar la composición química y calidad higiénica de leche cruda”
